Why the name endures
Bill Coore came from Pete Dye's construction crews and Ben Crenshaw from a career of two Masters titles and a scholar's love of the Golden Age. Together they built a practice on small crews, long site visits and an absolute refusal to impose a house style — Sand Hills alone changed what American clubs believed a great site was.
